How to Remove Backgrounds and Upscale Artwork
These two tools solve the two problems we see most often in customer artwork: a white box around a logo, and a file that is too low resolution to print sharp.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Open Upload Image by Size
Click the Upload Image by Size button on your dashboard. -
Select Your Image
Choose the design you want to work on. -
Toggle Remove Background
Switch Remove Background on. The builder detects and removes the background automatically, leaving just your artwork. -
Toggle Upscale Quality
Switch Upscale Quality on to apply AI-powered resolution enhancement. The builder analyses your design and upscales it to 300 DPI. -
Compare the Result
Check the Original Resolution section to compare the before and after.
What Works Best
Background removal works best on high-contrast images where the subject clearly stands out from the background. A black logo on white is perfect. A grey logo on a grey gradient is asking a lot. Upscaling works brilliantly on clean, vector-style graphics and logos, and is less effective on a heavily compressed photo pulled off social media.
Pro Tip
Always look at the result before you add it to your sheet. These tools are automatic, and automatic is not the same as perfect — review your artwork and make sure it is what you want printed.
