SECTION 20 – COPYRIGHT COMPLIANCE AND DESIGN OWNERSHIP
Customers are fully responsible for ensuring that any artwork submitted complies with copyright and intellectual property laws.
By placing an order, the customer confirms that they own the design or have permission to use it.
We are not liable for copyright infringement arising from customer-submitted artwork.
We may request proof of design ownership.
Customers agree to indemnify DTF Now for any claims arising from copyright misuse.
SECTION 21 – PRINT-READY ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
All artwork submitted to DTF Now must be provided in a print-ready format.
We print artwork exactly as supplied.
We are not responsible for spelling errors, pixelation, low resolution, incorrect colours, or design issues present in the uploaded artwork.
By submitting artwork, the customer confirms it is final and ready for print.
We do not make adjustments unless agreed in writing.
SECTION 22 – CUSTOM GOODS, CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
Our products are custom-made, personalised goods produced to customer specifications. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, custom-made goods are exempt from automatic returns and cooling-off rights.
Customers may cancel an order only before printing or production has begun.
Once printing begins, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded unless the product is faulty.
Faulty Goods Policy:
If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, customers have 30 days from receipt to request a refund or replacement, as required by UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Evidence may be required to verify a fault.
SECTION 23 – SHIPPING, DELIVERY AND DELAYS
We dispatch using Royal Mail and DPD. Delivery timeframes are estimates only unless the service is explicitly guaranteed by the courier.
Once an order is handed to the courier, delivery is outside of our control.
We do not accept liability for delays caused by third-party couriers, including missed deadlines, business loss, or consequential damages.
We will assist with tracking and courier investigations where necessary.
SECTION 24 – GANG SHEET SETUP AND ADMIN FEES
Where a customer purchases a 56x100cm, A3, A4 gang sheet DTF product and supplies only a single logo or design file with order notes requesting a specific gang sheet layout or setup, an admin fee will apply. This fee reflects the time required by our design team to manually build the gang sheet to the customer's specifications. The minimum admin fee is £5.00 + VAT, and the final charge will depend on the complexity and time required to complete the setup. By placing such an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts that this fee may be applied.
Customers who wish to avoid admin fees are encouraged to use our online "Build Your Own Gang Sheet" tool, which allows you to arrange your designs on the sheet yourself at no additional cost.
SECTION 25 – ARTWORK BACKGROUND REMOVAL POLICY
If a customer submits artwork containing a background and does not state in the order notes that the background needs to be removed, DTF Now will proceed to print the artwork exactly as supplied, including the background. We will not remove backgrounds from artwork unless explicitly requested by the customer.
If the customer requests background removal in the order notes and has not purchased our Background Removal Service at the time of ordering, the applicable Background Removal Fee will be charged before the order is processed. Customers may avoid this additional charge by purchasing the Background Removal Service alongside their order, or by supplying artwork with a transparent background (PNG format recommended).
DTF Now accepts no responsibility for orders printed with backgrounds where the customer did not request removal.
SECTION 26 – SEMI-TRANSPARENT ARTWORK AND PRINT QUALITY
DTF printing technology is not suited to semi-transparent pixels, soft fades, or designs that gradually fade into transparency (e.g., feathered edges, opacity gradients, or designs that "fade into nothingness"). Such artwork elements may result in unpredictable print quality, including visible white ink artefacts, uneven edges, or poor adhesion.
Customers who require a transparency or fading effect in their designs should use a halftoning method (dot pattern) to simulate the effect, which is compatible with DTF printing and produces reliable, high-quality results.
DTF Now is not responsible for poor print quality, visual defects, or adhesion issues where the customer has supplied artwork containing semi-transparent pixels or gradient-to-transparency effects.
By submitting such artwork, the customer accepts the risk that the final print may not match the on-screen appearance. No reprints or refunds will be issued for orders affected by semi-transparent artwork unless the issue is caused by a fault in our production process.
