How to Check Your Artwork Will Print Sharp

This is the most useful thing in the builder and most people scroll straight past it. The builder colour-codes every design on your sheet so you know, before you pay, whether it will print sharp.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Start a New Sheet
   Click Start a Brand New Gang Sheet from the dashboard.
2. Upload Your Designs
   Click Upload Image(s) and add your artwork. You can add up to 100 images at a time.
3. Place and Resize
   Click a design to place it on the canvas, then resize it using the black dots on the corners. Using the corner dots keeps the design in proportion.
4. Turn On Show Resolution Lines
   Make sure Show Resolution Lines is switched on in Settings.
5. Read the Colour Box
   Look at the coloured box around each design. Black means terrible resolution — do not print it. Red or orange is the bad-to-good range and is worth a second look. Green is optimal and will print beautifully.
6. Fix a Low Score
   If you are seeing red or black, make the design slightly smaller. The same pixels spread over less area means higher effective resolution, and the box will usually move up the scale.
7. Zoom In and Check
   Use the Zoom buttons on the right to inspect the detail up close. You can drag the canvas to move around the sheet.

Pro Tip

Aim for a green box on everything before you check out. And do not panic if the checkout preview looks a little soft — if your design had a green resolution box in the editor, it will print in high quality.

Green boxes across the sheet means you are ready to save and order.

Order by 1PM Monday to Friday and your sheet is printed, powdered and in the post the same day.
