Gang Sheet Builder Settings Explained
Gang Sheet Builder Settings Explained
Open the Settings tab in the builder and you will find a row of toggles. Here is what each one does and which ones we would leave alone.
The Settings
- Show Resolution Lines — draws a coloured box around each design showing whether it is high enough resolution to print well. Leave this on. It is your best quality check.
- Overlapping Lines — warns you when designs overlap each other or run off the artboard. Leave this on.
- Snap When Moving — snaps designs into alignment as you drag, so spacing stays even and rows stay straight. Leave this on.
- Visual Quality — lets you assess clarity, contrast and precision in the preview.
- Background Warning — alerts you right after upload if your design might clash with the background or the edges, with suggested fixes. Leave this on.
- Visual Aid — changes the on-screen background colour of the sheet so you can see your artwork properly. This is screen only and does not print.
- Artboard Margin — the gap between your artwork and the edge of the sheet.
- Image Margin — the gap between individual designs.
A Note on Overlap Warnings
If designs overlap or run off the sheet you will see a message such as "Design is overlapping artboard. Please select a larger size." If you switch the warning off, you will not be told until checkout — which is a poor time to find out. Leave it on.
Pro Tip
Keep the resolution and overlap warnings switched on the whole way through. They catch print problems while you can still fix them for free.
Set it up once and the builder does the checking for you.
Order by 1PM Monday to Friday and your sheet is printed, powdered and in the post the same day.
Please note: The gang sheet builder is provided by a third-party app and its features may change over time. Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving their artwork before ordering. DTF Now is not liable for issues caused by artwork that was not checked before it was submitted.
